Refund Policy

BrightArks LLC ("BrightArks," "we," "us," or "our") wants you to be completely satisfied with your Ageless Biography purchase. This Refund Policy explains when and how you may obtain a refund. By purchasing our service, you agree to this policy and our Terms of Service.

1. 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all purchases. If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may request a full refund within 30 calendar days of the original purchase date. No questions asked.

The 30-day period begins on the date the payment is processed (the "Purchase Date"), regardless of when the access code is redeemed, when conversations begin, or when the biography is generated. This guarantee applies to both "My Story" (digital) and "Family Edition" (digital + print) purchases.

2. Refund Eligibility

Eligible for Full Refund

  • Any purchase where the refund is requested within 30 days of the Purchase Date
  • Access codes that have not been redeemed
  • Access codes that have been redeemed, including cases where conversations have started
  • Purchases where the biography has been generated (within the 30-day window)

Not Eligible for Refund

  • Refund requests received after 30 calendar days from the Purchase Date, regardless of circumstances
  • Printed books that have already entered production (see Section 3 below for details)
  • Additional printed copies ordered separately after the initial purchase
  • Purchases made with stolen payment methods or in violation of our Terms of Service

3. Printed Books (Family Edition)

The Family Edition includes 3 professionally printed hardcover books. The following terms apply to the print portion of your order:

  • Before production: Printed books can be cancelled for a full refund at any time before they enter production. You will receive the full Family Edition purchase price back.
  • In production: Once printed books have entered production, the print portion of your order is non-refundable, as printing, binding, and shipping costs have been irrevocably incurred. In this case, you may still receive a refund for the digital portion of your order (the difference between the Family Edition price and the My Story price), provided the request falls within the 30-day guarantee period.
  • Damaged or defective books: If any book arrives damaged, misprinted, or with manufacturing defects, we will ship a replacement at no additional charge. You must contact us within 14 calendar days of delivery and provide photographs of the damage or defect. We reserve the right to request the return of the damaged book before shipping a replacement.
  • Lost in transit: If your books do not arrive within the estimated delivery window, contact us and we will investigate with our fulfillment partner. If the shipment is confirmed lost, we will reship your books at no cost.

4. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email with the following information:

  • Your full name
  • The email address used for the purchase
  • The recipient's name (if a gift purchase)
  • Your order number or access code (if available)
  • A brief description of the reason for your refund request

You may also request a refund by using the contact form on our website. Please include "Refund Request" in the subject line.

5. Refund Processing

  • Acknowledgment: We will acknowledge your refund request within 2 business days of receipt.
  • Review: Eligible refund requests are typically approved within 3 business days. In cases involving printed books or complex circumstances, the review period may extend to 5 business days.
  • Payment: Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method (credit card, debit card, or other payment method used at checkout). Refunds typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your financial institution. We cannot issue refunds to a different payment method than the one used for the original purchase.
  • Confirmation: You will receive an email confirmation when your refund has been processed.

6. Effect of Refund on Your Account

Upon approval of a refund:

  • Your access code will be deactivated and can no longer be used
  • Access to your biography (if one was generated) will be revoked
  • Any voice recordings, conversation transcripts, and biography content associated with your account will be permanently deleted within 30 days, in accordance with our Privacy Policy
  • Your account record and refund transaction history will be retained for tax and legal compliance purposes

7. Chargebacks and Disputes

We encourage you to contact us directly before filing a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or credit card company. We are committed to resolving any issues promptly and fairly. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in delays and may result in your account being permanently suspended. If a chargeback is filed, we reserve the right to provide evidence of the transaction and service delivery to the payment processor.

8. Promotional and Discounted Purchases

Purchases made with a promotional code, discount, or special offer are refundable for the amount actually paid (after the discount), not the original list price. The promotional code or discount cannot be reused after a refund is issued.

9. Gift Purchases

Refunds for gift purchases are issued to the original purchaser (the person who made the payment), not the gift recipient. Only the original purchaser may request a refund. If the gift recipient has already redeemed the access code and begun using the service, the original purchaser may still request a refund within the 30-day guarantee period. Upon refund approval, the recipient's access will be revoked and their data will be deleted as described in Section 6.

10. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes that reduce your refund rights will not apply retroactively to purchases made before the change. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase will govern your refund rights for that purchase.
